School Effectiveness
School Improvement: Evaluation, improvement and accountability
We utilise a range of tools to support ongoing self-evaluation of school performance. Every September, we publish a new School Development Plan, this plan outlines our strategic and longer term priorities as well as our priorities for the current school year in more detail. We undertaken continual evaluation of the School Development Plan and aim to engage all staff and stakeholders as part of this evaluation. The Governing Body receive regular updates with regard to progress in implementing the School Development Plan. The Diocese and the Regional School Improvement Service both support the school in working towards its targets through providing advice, challenge, support and access to professional learning.
Schools as Learning Organisations
We use the Schools as Learning Organisations model as a tool to secure sustained school improvement. The model is essentially about collaboration and working with others to use the highest quality educational research to inform our practise.
Professional Learning Library
We have a developing Professional Learning Library for staff to engage in professional learning activities to support curriculum reform and development of pedagogy. This development has linked to the Schools as Learning Organisations model to support collaboration and school improvement.
Further Research
Staff use the following websites and resources to further develop their Action Research and professional understanding in school. This research is then used to inform practice.
