As part of their Gresford Mining Disaster topic, Dosbarth Pembroke, Dosbarth Gwyrch and Dosbarth Bodelwyddan have worked in collaboration with the Miners Rescue Centre in Wrexham. All three classes have enjoyed trips to the Miners Rescue Centre where the children have learned all about The Gresford Mining Disaster and the stories involved. They have also had the opportunity to listen to ex-miners from the local area who have shared their experiences of the work involved and conditions they were subject to. It has been great to work closely with volunteers in our community to help inspire the children at the beginning of their topic.
